I get the concept of colors, but what are vindictive eyes?

@arkandel Someone stole his car and his dog.

This gave me the idea for our first 'purple prose desc challenge.' Not all of them will be purple prose. Not all of them, necessarily, will require writing (some might be where you are provided a desc and asked to draw what that person / thing looks like IN YOUR MIND). But this one... this one tickled me.

    • Take a song.
    • Desc a person using lyrics from that song.
    • Embed them into the desc whatever, whichever way you want.
    • The more creative you get, the better.

You have a week, ladies and gentlemen. Next Monday, I'll put up a poll so people can vote on their favorites. No cash prize, but the pride of knowing you had the best desc in all of MSB (this week). Just hope @Tinuviel doesn't hit the bottle first or we all lose (he probably will).

  • Kitty is a girl with the right allocations. She is fast, thorough, and sharp as a tack. She has a mind like a diamond — she knows what's best. You can tell from one look at her, with her eyes that burn like cigarettes, that she is the kind of girl who gets up early and stays up late. You bet she has uninterrupted prosperity and good dividends. As she's touring the facilities and picking up the slack, she's putting up her hair and playing with her jewellery, which is when they catch the righteous sun and you notice that her fingernails shine like justice. She has a short skirt and a long, long jacket, with shoes that cut, and she uses a machete to cut through red tape. Her voice is dark like tinted glass, with a smooth liquidation. Her car has a cupholder armrest — it's the kind of car that will get her there. She traded her MG for a white Chrysler LeBaron and her name is now Karen.

This is a little harder than I had thought. I'm still working on a desc.

  • @kestrel has already won this game now tho.

I'm still trying to pick a song.

It was the first song that came to my mind, too; I just couldn't sit down and type it out at the time. Although, I don't know that it's the winner. It's not really purple.-prosed, it's just the song in prose format.

    This hurt.

I sort of petered out towards the end because...ow.

This woman is like a lanky, lithesome feline in the darkness, but she is become the darkness itself; wrapped in its ebony embrace like a promise from heaven itself. Her hair shines like the evening dew, reflective of the care put into the gently draping and twisting locks that tumble and fall along her curving, voluptuous curves: a woman taken as much by the earth as the wind that shapes each individual ringlet that frames her distant expression. The mass is dark as night like when the sky itself is starless. She has the fey features of the ruler of a distant, long-lost land, taken flight like a fine skylark. One could get lost in the cerulean pools of her twin eyes: each glinting like a bell through the night beneath high-arched brows over aquiline nose and the cupid's bow of full lips that tease a dream unwinding. It begs, through perfection of form: wouldn't you love to love her?

    Song.

  • This one is hard, yes.

Lyrics describe personalities so much more than appearance to the extent that I seriously considered writing a parody TS pose instead based on the one song I know of that does have physical descriptions in it... <shifty-eyes>

    @surreality You just inspired me!

I've been trying to do the purple prosey stuff, I'm not good at being that bad. Just thought this up:

Here's a tall well-traveled man flaunting an impressive mish-mash of various cultures in his persona. He's wearing a bright pink skin tight t-shirt that leaves no one guessing to his handsomely well-defined physique. His intentions are made obvious to any woman that catches his gaze, bold black block lettering across this chest reads 'First Class Seat' with a large arrow pointing down at the lip licking worthy bulge. 'How he managed to stuff all that vigor and prowess into a pair of skin painted blue jeans' is a question raised from every woman's eyes that looks. His tone is loud and direct, words passing through juicy thick lips hints to a temporary Haitian accent. When questioned for identification he mournfully retrieves a passport lipstick kisses stamped on every page but the last.

On a gathering storm comes a tall handsome man in a dusty black coat. There's a gleam in his eyes that tells you that he'll rekindle all the dreams it took you a lifetime to destroy. Those dark eyes'll reach deep into the hole, heal your shrinking soul, but there won't be a single thing that you can do.

His handsome features are so striking that you'll see him in your nightmares, you'll see him in your dreams. Moving with a silent step, he'll appear out of nowhere, but you know that he ain't what he seems.

    He's a god, he's a man, he's a ghost, he's a guru. But hidden in his coat is a red right hand.

Her dress could cause a scandal. She looks like the sort of woman a fraternity couldn't handle. The kind of woman whose gyrations mesmerize. The kind of woman whose gaze could buy a soul. The kind of woman that haunts all of the wrong parts of town, where the ne'er-do-wells bang and deal.

  • Before you is a woman effuse with a youthful vigor of the refined sort, delicate of mannerism yet delightfully unambiguous in her conversational tones. While her height may be short, curtailed by genetics and gravity, her build is is rather robust, perhaps even stout.

As she lingers before you her body always finds the most classical of poses, one hand cocked on her hip and the other with elbow bent, palm raised to the side. Should she be riled, however, you may hear her shout "Tip me over and pour me out!" in steamy, whistling rage.

Lest one get the wrong impression, she is also of the clever sort, the sort to show you what she can do! That handled pose is easily switched, inverted, that the entire process may begin again!
